Fayetteville’s Home market

Posted by mariorealtor on January 23rd, 2008

Just when you least expect it, there is Fayetteville, NC.

Home of the Heroes, the Airborne, the Brave men and women of Ft. Bragg. A city within a city and growing.

When someone talks about growth in North Carolina and the housing market, there is always the City of Charlotte, the Queen City of the South, the fastest growing city in NC and one of the most talked about city in the Southeast, but not too far behind in percentage of growth is the Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg area.

The Realtors Association report sales of homes exceeding $ 1,089,000,000.00. Yes, you are reading it right, that is over ONE BILLION dollars worth of real estate bought or sold in the area. To make things look even better, this number does not include the millions of dollars that changed hands in the private sector that is not recorded through the Realtors Association.

The future looks bright for this area as the troops continue to come home. The base realignment that will become a reality soon will bring an estimated 11,000 new families to this area. The talk of the town is to get ready for the new BILLIONS of dollars that will be part of the Department of Defense plan for growth of Ft. Bragg. It is a plan and not just a possibility. The total realignment is projected to be completed by 2011.

For additional information on the Housing Market as well as a Free Consultation on how to Sell your home or Buy a home, please contact me at 910-988-1300. My name is Mario de la Vega.
